Born in a Garage. Proven on the World Stage.

The best innovations are rarely born in expensive corporate labs. They come from pure necessity and genuine passion. The BallBack System was never created as a commercial experiment, it was born to solve a real coaching challenge with one clear goal: helping young players unlock their full potential.

The Winter That Changed Everything

It all started 35 years ago in a small Slovenian town. Zoran Krajnc, an ambitious tennis coach and sports science graduate, hit a major roadblock: his club was full of motivated young talent, but lacked indoor courts. Winter training was forced onto slippery school gym floors.

Determined to keep rackets in his players' hands, Zoran suggested they practice at home by hitting against concrete garage walls. But a problem appeared immediately: the ball bounced off bare concrete far too quickly, disrupting technique, rhythm, and preparation. Zoran experimented tirelessly with different materials until he mounted high-density polyurethane foam onto the walls. The foam absorbed the excess impact and created the ideal training tempo.

The Breakthrough: Mastering Modern Timing

The results went far beyond expectations. Because garage spaces were tight, players had to stand much closer to the rebound surface than they would on a standard tennis court - forcing them to strike the ball immediately off the bounce, on the rise.

When spring arrived and matches moved back to the clay courts, these players dominated. Without even realizing it, they had internalized the ultimate weapon of modern tennis: aggressive court positioning and stealing time from the opponent. Zoran knew this was much more than a winter compromise; it was a game-changing training method.

He built the first mobile rebound station on wheels. For decades, this system remained the club’s best-kept secret, developing multiple national junior champions, 3 NCAA champions, and touring professionals - including Tamara Zidanšek (Roland Garros semi-finalist and former WTA No. 23).

The Methodology in Action: The BallBack Playbook

When the company was officially founded in 2021, we didn't rush into mass sales. Instead, we returned to the court to systematically document our knowledge. We distilled 35 years of coaching experience into the BallBack Playbook - a comprehensive guide with over 50 specialized drills for footwork, reaction speed, and stroke consistency under a high repetition cadence. We don't just sell equipment; we deliver a complete training methodology.

Combining Expertise & Building Global Foundations

In 2026, the project gained fresh momentum when Nejc Ramšak joined as co-owner to lead business operations and international expansion. Drawing on his experience in international business and high-tech environments, Nejc established the framework needed to bring this Slovenian innovation to global markets.

To ensure the system met the highest durability standards, Nejc’s father, Branko Ramšak, stepped in to support technical development. With extensive hands-on experience in mechanics and manufacturing, Branko helped refine the structure, turning it into a robust, industrial-grade coaching station built for intensive daily use.
